Beyond bread and bagels, here are a few of the things we’re baking up in the Hard Winter kitchen this season. 

Breakfast Cookies

Made with local organic spelt flour. This ‘cookie’ is filling and loaded with flax and fruit. Lightly sweetened with coconut and honey.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies


Our house-made granola, slowly baked to perfection. Has lots of walnuts, almonds and dried fruit. Sweetened with honey and freshly squeezed orange juice.

Breakfast Scones

One of the most popular items from the Hard Winter kitchen. These buttery scones come in a variety of flavours (sometimes seasonally inspired), but you can always count on blueberry + lemon, and cheese + chive.

Wheat Free Brownies

A market hit, these very chocolatey flourless brownies will please gluten free and gluten loving eaters alike. Made with excellent quality dark belgium chocolate.

Hazelnut + Orange Biscotti

Quickly becoming a Hard Winter favourite these biscotti are full of flavour, perfect for tea and available all year long.

Tarts/Galettes and Tea Cakes

Both savoury and sweet available every week, with lots of variety and seasonal flavour combinations.

Housemade Danish

Our delicately rolled danish are big and full of flavour. As always, 100% made from scratch and topped with local seasonal fruit compotes. A Saturday morning ritual for many of our regular customers.

We often carry a variety of sourdough crackers, croutons, sweet loaves and, at times, other gluten free options. Come and see what we have available! As always, subject to change at the whims of a baker.
